Kings Cross Hotels
Kings Cross is is an inner-city district of London located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) north of Charing Cross. It was largely known as a run down and dilapidated area housing a red light district, but following large scale regeneration in the mid 1990s this reputation is largely out of date.
Since November 2007 the area has been the terminus of the international rail service at St. Pancras International station where Eurostar trains now arrive and depart to and from France and Belgium.
Regeneration saw many more hotels, restaurants, nightclubs and cultural venues introduced to the area and there is also substantial business activity and residential accommodation.
The Kings Cross area is served by Kings Cross St. Pancras underground station which is the biggest interchange station on the London Underground network with Victoria, Piccadilly, Hammersmith & City, Northern, Circle and Metropolitan lines all passing through.
