Check was a bit chaotic as staff were trying to do too much at once due to a fashion show just ending - this was my first visit and I did not feel welcome. Staff thought I was foreign - my address is partly in Welsh, but has an English townname & UK postal code - which suggests poor training or poor education(personal bugbear of mine, sorry!).
Only one lift in action - mainly monopolised by fashion show clothes rails - and room was on 14th floor.
Room was clean, large and had a great view, it was also pleasing as I had booked a single and got a twin. Decor is tired and shabby in places - ripped wall paper in full view over bed, dirty marks in odd places on walls, bathroom quite crusty with poor shower and patched grouting. Toiletries OK but unknown brand.
Hot drinks tray did not include a biscuit even at £94 for a single room, but did have freebie slippers. Poor TV reception, even though next to the BBC! Glad I had brought a book.
Bed comfortable but aircon noisy.
Breakfast (continental) was laid out in front of a magnificent view, pity the bread rolls were small and mainly crust - was glad of the floppy sliced loaf toast.
Would use again as convenient location and j-u-s-t on budget, but thios hotel did make me appreciate the place I usually stay!

The reception staff were extremely helpful.
The hotel location for our requirements was excellent.
We only used the restaurant for breakfast but it was faultless.
The room was very comfortable and clean except the storage space behind the headboard.
We would reccomend to others and we would certainly book again.

Generally hotel was rather good, service etc. However waiting long time for lift service & we arrived in at eleven & resident bar would not accept cash. Breakfast selection poor. Good location
